Going from a faceless Internet buzz band to the certified BAND to watch in 2008 isn’t easy - but in 2007 DIOYY? made the transition seamlessly. Now known as a hard rocking, prank playing, crowd moving collective, James, Dan, Rob and Morgan‘s growth looks set for a spurt with the release of forthcoming single ‘We Are Rockstars’.

A crowd stomping anthem in waiting - driven by the tough as nails guitar riffs looped over and over into your consciousness while James vocals roll alongside the distorted bass lines. ‘We Are Rockstars’ isn’t written about the inflated egos of DIOYY? in contrast it was penned about the social networking ways of the world today – “You're all rockstars now in a network town, there’s no place to go, to be on your own, making friends and foes, watch the network grow”.

The bands ever growing online presence has soared this year with several Youtube fan videos for ‘We Are Rockstars’ being posted long before the track was announced as a forthcoming single. As one of DIOYY?s live favourites it was only right that the official video reflected this and so a call to their fans was posted online and several lucky 100 got a private gig thrown for them somewhere in East London which was recorded as the video.

Starting 2008 as they mean to go on, the band are playing a spread of live shows including the Shockwave NME tour in January and February with The Cribs, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong and The Ting Tings.

Forthcoming album ‘You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into’ is due out March 17th on Virgin and really does live up to its name. It was produced by the Reading based four piece themselves and mixed by acclaimed producer Rich Costey (RATM, Muse, Franz Ferdinand) is a nonstop barrage of modern dance music infused with rock, punk and killer pop melodies.

‘You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into’ looks set to establish them as one of the most exciting and innovative new bands of 2008.
