The Dirty Red Ball 2008

We are excited to announce that the 4th annual Dirty Red Ball will take place in London oin March 15th. Since 2005, this highly anticipated party has led the way in showcasing a wide range of outstanding female talent as well as attracting celebrity attendees including Alison Goldfrapp, The Pet Shop Boys and more. It is a celebration of self-expression and artistry, a one off party playground and a fantastic reason to dress up.

The climax of alternative London will be held at The Old Finsbury Town Hall, a unique Grade II listed building, completely new to the capital’s party scene, with 5 fabulous historic rooms filled with an intoxicating variety of music, theatre, DJs, dance and performing art.

The Great Hall

This stunning room is the centre point of our party, featuring deep soulful house from DJs Nicole Moudaber and Philly. It is also the place to catch The Midnight Show, currently including Boogaloo Stu who will be joined by dazzling dancers Sparklemotion, the gorgeous Paloma Faith and a sexy eye-catching fashion show from Ophelia Fancy. Introduced by our master of ceremonies Mel Graf.

The Council Chamber

Eclectic electronica and dirty bass beats fill up this historic wood paneled room with music from superlative artist/DJ Dani Siciliano and cult east end star, Hannah Holland. Watch out for the exclusive live performance from pop punksters, Voodoo Hussy.

The Cabaret Court

Presided over by the inimitable Jon Sizzle from Bistrotheque, a range of revolving talent will be introduced by the comic talents of BBC Radio Manchester’s Chris Holiday. Expect to be dazzled by Dusty Limits, Miss Bijou Noir, Jonny Woo and Holestar. Hollywood scene queen DJ Mordecai and a one-off live performance from Sam Obernik’s Barefoot.

The Undercroft

Undisputed stars of the minimal/tech scene, we are delighted to present DJ Kath Harding from WISH, alongside resident Kate Nunn, who will also be joined by very special guest, Radio One’s Mistress De Funk. Extra cheeky visuals from VJ Hobby Boy.

Lady Sharlott’s Piano Lounge

Where Foxtrot Fanny and Quickstep Queenie from The Shellac Sisters will shower you with their special brand of nostalgia, whilst you shimmy along to their crowd pleasing concoction of gramophone classics plus occasional pianist performances by Kat Vipers.
