The Fly
Monthly new music magazine with news, gig guide, podcasts competitions and new bands. What they say about themselves:
"We started this in 1999. We've continued it every day since, and we don't know when we'll stop. The look of our magazine - or whatever you want to call it, we still get the occasional 'fanzine' moniker thrown at us from whichever hi-brow broadsheet supplement has chosen to write about new music that weekend - might have evolved in the intervening years, but our ethos hasn't changed. We love music. We write about it. We put what we write into a neatly, or sometimes not, arranged magazine."

Manchester Music
The website was established in September 1999 and was Manchester’s first ever, comprehensive and regular online music review publication. It is now the regions and one of the UK’s, largest music only review website. Musicdash / ManchesterMusic is a registered non-profit limited company, run by volunteers and a host of contributors who freely give their time and to whom we are eternally grateful. The website is currently, entirely self funded, with any income generated by our activities, re-invested directly back to the group, without any remuneration made to its Directors. The organisation has been established on a brief of co-operation and direct pro-active involvement with the local music scene and emerging creative industries. The site has been supported by the Manchester City Music Network and The Performing Right Society Foundation - we would like to acknowledge their pro-active and unconditional support. The website supports the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Love Music Hate Racism, amongst many other good things. Blues Matters! Magazine Blues Matters! was founded 1999 as a fanzine to give enthusiasts a voice. intended to support and promote the Blues in all forms, and so provide a service to music fans everywhere, of "Blues Without The Blinkers". Blues Matters! represents every aspect of the Blues with all the seriousness, humour, depth, belief, and enthusiasm it deserves. By doing so, we bring together the music, artists, publications, creators, industry, and fans, who enjoy, and therefore help sustain, the Blues for further generations.

Each issue offers a refreshing blend of information, fact, honesty, and humour. Blues Matters! brings a wide-range of topics to our readers with exciting and diverse content. Our readers are delighted with pages brimming with interviews, previews and reviews of a whole range of Blues and related music; recording artists, albums, singles, EPs, demos, DVDs; festivals, live gigs and events; associated products; books; and other music information.
We are a totally independent music magazine! (no money bags unfortunately!...plenty of bags though spending as much time as we do on these PCs!).
Our diversity comes from the very best of Old, New, Traditional, and Nu, with artists from Eric Clapton to The White Stripes, BB King to Soledad Brothers, Big Bill Morganfield to the 22-20s, Jimi Hendrix to Jo Ann Kelly. From the obscure to the popular, the established to the young-guns, if it’s Blues, you’ll find it in Blues Matters! jam-packed with interviews, news, reviews, releases, gigs, and loads more.

The International Journal of Community Music is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research articles, practical discussions, timely reviews, readers’ notes and special issues concerning all aspects of Community Music.
Our editorial board is composed of leading international scholars spanning diverse disciplines.
"Community Music" has many meanings and takes many forms depending on several variables. For example: (a) the people involved (e.g., "community music workers" and/or musicians, clients, or students); (b) the communities and institutions involved; (c) the aims, purposes, or needs that a Community Music program intends to achieve; (d) the relationships between a given Community Music program and its geographical, social, economic, religious, cultural, and/or historic circumstances; and (e) the financial support a Community Music program receives, or not.
Accordingly, the Editorial Board of the IJCM holds an open concept of Community Music.
