Set up by a group of musicians this site aims to put musicians in touch with each other to form bands. They cater for a wide range of areas and musical genres. Searching is free but you will need to be a paid member for contacts. The cost starts at £2.50 per month.

Birmingham Music
The aim of the site is to be your first port of call when it comes to anything related to the Birmingham music scene. Be it anything - from “Who is playing at the Flapper tonight?” or “Are there any violin teachers in the area?” to “Is there anyone playing Jazz on Tuesday?” or “Where can I find more info on that fantastic band who played The Drum last night?” – whatever your request, hopefully you can get those questions answered here.
Online resources include directory of Birmingham artistes.

BBC Where I Live Band Directory
The BBC website - Where I Live - includes a directory of local bands. Bands can upload their profile and music. For example Cambridgeshire bands can be found at:
