Rivington Street Festival 2013Posted on June 5th, 2013 by Anna in Festivals, Gig News
It’s finally summertime here in the UK, and what better way to celebrate than by enjoying some of the great outdoor events on offer over the coming months?
Taking place on Sunday 23rd June 2013 (12-10pm), east London’s Rivington Street Festival will be transforming the streets of Shoreditch into a family friendly outdoor exhibition of music, art, film screenings, stand-up comedy and spoken word.
Showcasing the creative DNA of the area, there will be multi-venue events and open air stages, alongside local venues each hosting their own programming for the day.
A selection of unsigned music acts will provide the sounds for the day’s events, with Stony Browder Jr., Reggae Roast, DJ Mag Allstars, Lazy Talk, Alternative Dubstep Orchestra, DJ Switch, Bass6, DJ Captain Crunch, Boglewaltz, Livin Proof, Nu Northern Soul Records, Vibe Called Quest and Rock The Belles DJs just some of the talent taking centre stage on the day.
The festival’s daytime programming will run from 12noon until 10pm, after which the outdoor stages finish and the evening programming takes over at local venues.
And best of all, it’s completely FREE, with tickets offered on the day on a first-come-first-served basis.
