Aged 16-24? Join Sony’s New Online Music CommunityPosted on May 10th, 2013 by Anna in Music Industry News
Sony Music is looking for people aged between 16-24 to join an exclusive new online community – to hear and critique the freshest emerging artists first.
Be part of Sony Music’s select sounding board
Sony is creating a sounding board where 60 young people from across the UK will have the power to shape Sony’s newly signed acts and have a real influence on them before they hit the big time.
Be rewarded for you opinions on new music
We’re looking for 16-24s with diverse tastes and a genuine passion for discovering new music to critique emerging talent – so you’ll need to know your stuff. In exchange for your expertise you’ll have exclusive access to new artists before anybody else, receive CDs, win prizes and have a big influence on the decisions Sony Music makes in the future.
Be open-minded and work across genres
Members must be open-minded and able to think critically with an ‘industry mind-set’ to shape the biggest acts of tomorrow. Sony Music covers every sound from A*M*E to K Koke, Amelia Lily and While She Sleeps to Bondax – so we need people with skills to constructively critique every new sound. You can’t just love what you know!
Even get yourself down to Sony Music headquarters
In exchange for your ideas we’ll be sending out bundles of CDs and other merchandise, giving away hundreds of pounds in prizes each month – and paying some of the best members to come down to Sony Music’s offices in London for more…
But no wallflowers please!
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you live or what music you love as long as you’re really involved and opinionated. You’ll be speaking to other music heads, able to post your own content and start debates to really give Sony Music something to think about. You’ll also need to be up for video blogging and featuring your friends so having regular Internet access is a must – and you can’t be camera shy…
This is your chance to make your voice heard, represent UK youth and influence what Sony Music does in the future.
