Chillout music can be a wide variety of styles and sounds, but there is also something of a genre within itself, often focused on smooth, sweeping chords and electronic rhythms. To compliment the chilly and snowy January weather, we thought that we would supply you with some of the best Chillout records around, both as described above, and more traditional, mellow numbers.

There is something in this playlist to suit everyone, from the abstract a capella work of Bjork‘s Pleasure is All Mine, to the classic Zero 7 track Destiny and the blend of synthesizers, samplers and vocalist Sia, to soulful master Dwele on Too Fly, to the a acoustic guitar riffs on BT‘s Satellite. Tempos, genres and structures may vary, but all of these track share a common theme that will help sooth and relax, and maybe even start to enjoy the brisk winter chill.
