Our favourite roving reporter Jimmy Blake shares more of his music industry experience, this time as part of his radio show on University of Westminster‘s Smoke Radio. He and Olly Douglas present an interview and live tracks from American folk-soul singer songwriter, Chastity Brown.

They talk to her about growing up in the deep south, her first European tour and her new album Backroad Highways. She plays I Left Home from the album as well as an exclusive live version of Man and Gun.

If you haven’t heard of her already, where have you been? She’s got her own Wikipedia page and everything! Don’t say we never treat you…

Want to follow Chastity in to the Best Kept Secret studios and be on one of the most popular student radio stations in London? Or do you have a track you’re dying to get on air? Get in touch via bkssmokeradio@gmail.com with links to your work and the team will get back to you.

In the mean time head to smokeradio.co.uk every Wednesday from 6-7pm to hear the latest up and coming artists. Follow the show on Twitter @bkssmokeradio or via the Best Kept Secret on Smoke Radio Facebook Page.
