Exclusive collaborative album from one-off live show.

The infamous Mute record label have always has something special up their sleeve. From their inception in 1978, they have always pushed electronic pop and experimental sounds, and their artist roster includes legends such as Trent Reznor, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

So, when last year saw the coming together of Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti (of industrial, avant-garde music and visual arts group Throbbing Gristle), plus relative newcomer Nik Void of Factory Floor for a one-off performance in London, live music lovers were in for a real treat. Now, the fruit of that collaboration, Transverse, is to be released as a live album. The LP will be released on vinyl, CD and download on 26th March 2012.

Transverse is a unique collaboration of musical minds, and the tracks were originally created in the studio, then performed and recorded live at the Short Circuit presents Mute festival at the Roundhouse in 2011. Rock music and pop culture website The Quietus described the performance as “…a warm embrace, creating a deep connection… Carter at the back manipulates the electronics while on either flank, Void scratches noise with bowed guitar and Tutti plays while singing vocals that she mangles and distorts… there is no nihilism in this noise, nothing but a deep and wonderful sense of love.

Transverse LP Tracklist:
01. V1
02. V2
03. V3
04. V4
