New Music: London Grammar Announce Next Single ‘Strong’ [stream]Posted on July 4th, 2013 by Anna in Music News, New Music
If you’ve been anywhere other than Mars in recent months then you’re sure to have caught wind of the deafening buzz surrounding three-piece London Grammar. The band – whose dreamy, epic mixture of dark, haunting synths and drums perfectly support vocalist Hannah Reid‘s distinctive sultry vocals – formed at university in Nottingham in 2009.
Following huge critical acclaim for their recent single Wasting My Young Years which came out in June, the group have now signed to Warner Brothers and have announced that their follow-up single will be called Strong and will be released in the UK on September 1st ahead of their forthcoming debut album.
We reckon it’s an absolute belter, and we’re not alone – the track was premiered on Zane Lowe‘s BBC Radio 1 show and was named his ‘Hottest Record In The World‘.
Clearly making friends in high places, the trio also feature on electro duo Disclosure‘s chart-topping album Settle, on a track entitled Help Me Lose My Mind.
