The Chief Examiner’s Department is currently looking to recruit a well-organised and accurate Administrative Assistant to support the work of its Quality Assurance Manager. This role is essential to the smooth running of the Quality Assurance office, and you will be responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks including providing administrative support to the Quality Assurance Manager and Assistant Quality Assurance Manager, assisting with the administration of complaints and appeals, providing statistical data and responding to telephone enquiries.
Well-organised and accustomed to working to tight deadlines, you will have experience of carrying out administrative work and dealing with customers within a busy office environment. In addition to a professional and flexible approach, you will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively and remain calm under pressure, accurate data entry and word processing skills, a strong commitment to customer care, as well as excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a courteous telephone manner are also essential, as you will need to be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including teachers, examiners, parents and candidates. Although not essential, experience of music exams and an overall understanding of the Board’s operations would be an advantage.
