This vacancy was posted on 23/02/10 The ideal candidate will be required to teach the full Audio Engineering diploma programme according to the standards and curriculum set by SAE for the following programmes:
AF – Audio engineering Diploma fulltime programme
AP – Audio Engineering Diploma parttime programme
Lecture delivery entails classroom-based lectures as well as studio-based practical lectures.
The candidate is expected to utilise the latest forms of lecture delivery as available in the college, providing not just content but also relaying personal practical experience within the field.
Due to the nature of the audio industry, the ideal candidate has solid industry experience and is also expected to continuously expand and refresh their knowledge on matters technical, operative and theoretical in order to provide the latest and most up to date education to our students.
Duties include:
o Lecture preparation according to the curriculum
o Preparation of course notes and handouts
o Occasional one – to – one tutoring for theoretical matters & written
assignment support
o Preparation & invigilation of examinations
o Manage studio time for practical lectures
o Be the first point of call for students in academic matters
o Monitor and report on course and student progress
All lecturers provide the college with editable soft copies and PDF files of their course material. All material is reviewed by their peers and assembled to standard material available for teaching.
We also engage in various workshops and community projects (within the framework of audio engineering) which involve lecturers partaking, or overseeing such projects.
Applicants must have relevant industry experience.
Whilst we provide internal training, the ideal candidate will have teaching experience. |
