We are looking for a Broadcast Assistant who will feel at home working on our programming. This could involve setting up guests, recording interviews or reporting from the radio car. You may also be asked to present basic shows such as our 5 - 6 am programme. You'll be covering a wide range of issues and will be expected to work across all our shifts.
You should have a flair for making creative radio, and be a superb communicator who can work with a range of people. It is essential you have a good broadcasting voice, sound editorial judgement and some proven technical ability. Presenting skills and experience are vital…this is not a job for a beginner.You must also be able to produce and read live travel reports and should have a working knowledge of the web. In addition, knowledge of our audience and the diversity of the community within Gloucestershire are required.
