We are the UK’s largest designer and provider of popular music education are seeking an expert in composition as it relates to popular music to join a thriving Foundation Degree team at the British Academy of New Music in East London.
You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of composition at the Academy or show potential to do so.
Experience of teaching in Higher Education is essential. A degree (or equivalent) in music, popular music or music technology is also essential. You will contribute with imagination and innovation to the Department's wide-ranging curriculum, and whilst specialising in composition, you will be expected to contribute to other aspects of the core curriculum. Expertise in any of the following would be an advantage: popular music composition (especially desirable), popular music performance, sampling, sequencing, hard disk recording and processing, music and the moving image, music and the media, and the music business.
Candidates whose main expertise is in non-popular music styles will also be considered.
