Full Time: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £31,738 per annum inclusive
Fixed term contract for one year in the first instance.
Our Technology department currently requires a skilled and innovative Creative and Technical Web Developer to undertake the designing, writing, modifying, testing, documenting, and implementing all changes to the Academy’s websites. The postholder will work on both internal and external facing sites and will initially have a focus on two large scale replacement projects of our public website and our internal Intranet. You will work in an integrated fashion across many Academy departments and with third-party developers, proactively initiating and co-ordinating the implementation of good ideas.
The role requires an individual with a unique balance of creativity, innovation and technical ability. Technical knowledge and experience in common web technologies, general programming, Linux and Windows hosting systems, SQL server utilities is essential, as well as extensive experience in creative design including use of Flash, and the ability to co-ordinate several projects simultaneously. You will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively with a range of individuals, Formal qualifications in creative web design, database or IT would be advantageous, as would experience within the Higher Education sector, knowledge of relational databases, programming frameworks and methodologies.
