Duties
To assist the Chairman and administrator with the following:
• Pre-publicity – distributing posters
• To organise lifts to and from trains/airports
• Liaison with companies providing support to the Festival – e.g.: loo hire
• To be the first point of contact for any query
• Ensuring all late comers have a personnel list and are appropriately orientated to the Festival set-up
• Acquiring good knowledge of all houses rented by the Festival – drawing up a map of their whereabouts and giving out that and key/entrance/house instructions to participants on arrival.
• Locking and unlocking church hall
• Overseeing state of the loos and making sure enough loo paper and that they are clean and tidy.
• Liaising with Tom Hickox on list for Peelers & Scrubbers, car parking
• Being present at daily notices
• Liaising with crèche, cooks, Richard Butler’s team
• Identifying potential baby-sitters for participants’ young
• Collecting money for crèche workers
• Meet & greet piano/organ/harpsichord tuner
• Ringing to find replacement timpanists should we be told at the last minute we need 4 extra.
General
• Any other tasks that might be reasonably requested by Directors, conductor or performers (e.g.: photocopying parts, organising car rental, moving chairs)
Expenses
• To keep all receipts and present an expenses sheet at the end of the contract (fuel at 40p per mile)
Time Period
• This contract would start a month prior to the Festival and finish 2 wks after
