You must have a passion for black/contemporary/urban arts and culture, ie film, music, theatre, books, comedy, TV, visual arts and fashion. The role involves tracking lead stories and writing features/reviews for our online magazine. A degree in journalism is not essential but applicants will need to demonstrate a strong desire to build a portfolio and pursue a career in journalism.
Work is unpaid at the moment but we offer potential candidates the chance to attend events, network and build contacts. We try to highlight our writers and writers who have worked with us have been commissioned to work the Channel 4 website, the bfm Film Festival and other magazines.
