We require a female vocalist to cover for our usual vocalist on a gig on Boxing Day, 2009 (26th December), to sing with our live trio of Drums, Bass & keyboards in a 3 star rated hotel in the Cotswolds, Morton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, GL56. The gig fee is £120 cash on the night. If you're good on the night and the audience likes you, we'll pay an additional £30 bonus!
The ideal candidate would be a Female (18-36) and possess a Jazz, Soul type voice, able to sing in tune, with the ability to front a live band. This is mainly a Jazz gig, playing jazz standards, 'Summertime' etc... however, we are sometimes requested to play some 60s and 70s tunes as well. The set list will be sorted out before the gig, so you would know what you were going to sing.
It's a 3 hour gig (although it's usually a slow-ish start), but on this gig you would not be expected to sing the whole night because we do play instrumentals as well, waltz, foxtrots, ect... We've played this gig for the last 8 years!!!
We have all the music and set list available; once we have met and agreed a set with you we will give you copies of the arrangements to learn or look through. We are a very professional and friendly company, guaranteed payment, and all the equipment you need will be provided.
We need you to be professional, reliable, committed to the gig and have your own transport.
If you are available email us first with any publicity (pictures, set lists, MP3 ect) of yourself and we will get back to you.
The gig is booked and paid for so there is a gig fee waiting for the right female vocalist.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Moreton-in-Marsh, Cotswolds
