We seek a Flute Tutor for our Saturday music school that aims to enrich the lives of young people through music making. The Centre offers students ages 5 upwards an extensive curriculum including group and individual instrumental tuition, singing, musicianship, ensembles, as well as the Orchestra and Choirs of CYM Hackney, and its staff are all experienced music teachers and professional artists who foster a greater appreciation and understanding of different types of music.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching flute in small and large group lessons as well as individually. Group-teaching experience will be looked on favourably. The position may also involve some general musicianship teaching. We are looking for a confident, committed and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities.

The job will involve working on Saturdays between 9am and 2.15pm for 20 weeks starting in January 2009.

Salary: £2,600 gross flat fee (on a self-employed basis).
