Specific duties include:
-Managing the course development and the delivery of the piping components and ensuring that all appropriate assessment procedures are in place.
-Pastoral care of piping students.
-Maintaining effective liaison with the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Glasgow University, and attending all relevant meetings pertaining to the BA (Scottish Music - Piping) degree and the Study Abroad Semester Programme.
-Ensuring compliance on behalf of the National Piping Centre with all policies relevant to its collaborative partnerships with other educational institutions.
-Developing marketing and promotional opportunities in order to attract home and overseas students to the course.
-Ensuring the completion and punctuality of all reports and assessments.
-Development and maintenance of library and learning resource materials.
-Developing links and educational opportunities in order to promote the Centre as a world centre of excellence in teaching of piping.
-Ensuring that the Principal is kept informed of all developments and other eductaional initiatives and opportunities that arise
This position is permanent and full-time - 35 hours per week.
Annual leave entitlement is 21 days plus 9 statutory days.
Salary £29, 000 per annum
