We are offering one individual the opportunity to be trained as a music agent specialising in Jazz. The scheme runs for a year and is paid, with the view to a permanent position on finishing.
The year long scheme would not only include in-house training in agency work but would also allow the individual to spend time at numerous other agencies. By also working alongside some of the top promoters we regularly work with, the individual would gain experience of promoting. We would also encourage work experience at the many record labels we already work with which would provide a rounded knowledge of how the industry works. There would also be opportunities to travel throughout Europe with our various bands, giving the individual some experience of working on a wider scale when putting together an effective tour.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing a career as an agent and has an enjoyment of jazz. They must be motivated, pro-active and willing to go that extra mile to carve out a career. Good telephone skills are a must as well as experience with Word and Excel. The individual should be organised and have great people skills. We are looking for a team player who is used to working in a busy, lively office atmosphere.
Ideally the individual would start in January 2008. Wage on application.
