Marketing and Public Relations Internships
Marketing Assistants – researching and contacting prospective clients such as festivals, arts centres, corporate entertainment agencies, local authorities, schools and youth services and negotiating contracts on behalf of artists. Researching and developing partnerships with other NGOs focusing on indigenous culture and rights, helping to raise awareness of indigenous culture, music and dance.
Essential Skills : good research, communication and negotiating skills, initiative and ability to work independently.
Preferable : knowledge and understanding of indigenous, traditional African or indigenous culture / music, community arts practice and world music productions.
The positions will suit candidates keen to work in an environment informed by progressive cultural values and those seeking to gain a foothold in the world-music or NGO sector.
Excellent future employment prospects as the organisation grows.
