About The Job

This is one of the UK’s leading chamber orchestras. Creativity and energy are the hallmarks of the orchestra’s work and reflect the spirit of its home city, Manchester, where it is in residence at The Bridgewater Hall and at the Royal Northern College of Music.

The orchestra is seeking an enthusiastic person for a 6 month part-time librarian position within the Concerts department. The successful applicant must be creative and proactive with a strong eye for detail, and the drive and ambition to develop a career in the arts, and specifically concerts administration. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, will have a positive approach and will have the confidence to put forward their own ideas when appropriate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Creative Programming and Orchestra Manager, assisting with the administration and implementation of concert planning, specifically the library, and other work undertaken by the department.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a central orchestral administration role and would be ideal for anyone hoping to pursue a career within arts administration.
