Licensing business unit has an opportunity for the role of Music Licensing Consultant. The role supports and works with all stages of the licensing process and requires a dynamic individual to oversee the blanket audio and audio-visual physical product licensing market.

Responsibilities will include:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the revenue whilst achieving excellent customer service within an alpha-split of blanket licensees covering record labels and DVD producers.

This goal will be achieved by:

* Dedicated account management and proactive monitoring of the blanket licensees
* Taking a high level of responsibility for delivery of both financial and complimenting objectives
* Resolving unlicensed product and member queries within service level agreements
* Organising and chairing external customer meetings to address licensing matters and maximise personal account contact
* Educating, advising and providing guidance to current and potential licensees to ensure that the licensing terms and conditions are understood
* Managing and developing excellent licensee relationships
* Providing excellent service to both internal and external contacts
* Close cooperation with the MCPS audit team ensuring implementation of findings identified through the audit process
* Delivering presentations both to internal and external audiences
* Liaising with the credit control team on debt matters, recommending and implementing courses of action where necessary
* Identifying and developing revenue opportunities in the Licensing area

Experience and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

* Self-motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on own initiative.
* A sound knowledge of all MCPS Licensing schemes
* Excellent customer service background
* A high degree of problem solving and time management skills
* Music industry experience or experience in a related area
* A high level of numeracy, written and spoken English, and excellent communication skills
* A thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
