Live Music Promoter required for busy London-based Promotions Company
We are seeking a committed and outgoing full time Promoter who has good knowledge and proven experience in the UK’s live music scene. The successful applicant should be enthusiastic, have an eye for detail and enjoy working in a vibrant North London office.
It is essential that the successful applicant is a natural at commercial negotiations and has excellent time-keeping and organisational skills. They need to have the ability to communicate effectively and perform well under pressure. They also need to be presentable and have a willingness to work flexible and unsociable hours.
Our music promotions business incorporates a team of artist managers and commercial brand managers who book and promote live music in London and in Europe, so there are great opportunities for training and progression within the organisation. Core responsibilities would include:
• Booking live music events in London’s established live music venues to ensure that the best commercial opportunities are realised for the company by way of, and without limitation, working with booking agents, artist managers, artists and music venue personnel.
• Promoting events by way of, and without limitation, securing listings editorial and co-promotion opportunities with local, national and online press publications and radio stations. Promotion of events should also incorporate co-ordinating poster, leaflet and email campaigns, as well as promotion through all other relevant events.
• Producing events by way of, and without limitation, ensuring that a dedicated and trained team of venue production staff are on duty each evening where one of your events is scheduled.
• Develop links with music business organisations, musicians, bands, promoters and booking agents to ensure that the company maximises it’s potential to develop local, national and international talent from a broad range of music genres.
• Provide support to special one-off projects from time to time, as instructed.
• A fundamental aspect of your role will be to seek to maximise the profitability of promotions within the company, by introducing new events, ensuring the maximum numbers of tickets are sold for all events, and effectively instigating local promotion of events without excessive cost.
• Complete a weekly summary report of the previous week’s activity and incorporating attendance figures, gross ticket sales, expenditure, net profit and additional commentary.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. This is not a holiday job or one you can do while studying.
