About The Job

is looking to fill this vacancy 06/05/08

We are seeking a committed, skilled and enthusiastic music specialist to teach and coordinate curriculum music throughout the school, from Foundation Stage to Year 6. We are a highly successful ‘Artsmark Gold’ school with a strong commitment to performing arts and music.

The ideal candidate would be able to teach curriculum music throughout the school on a 0.4 contract (exact days can be negotiated), would be able to play the piano and have experience in accompanying children for productions and a variety of musical events, and be prepared to involve themselves in the extra-curricular life of the school. Part of your time will also be used to provide PPA cover for staff; therefore the candidate should have additional areas of primary school teaching expertise (possibly MFL).

We can offer you a committed and supportive team, a caring and dynamic working atmosphere, opportunities for continuing professional development and lots of fun. The school has its own dedicated music room. Informal visits are welcomed and can be arranged via the school office.

Completed applications should be returned to the School.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
