Percussion Teacher and World Percussion Project Deliverer

Part-time, up to 27 hours per week

We require for January 2010 an enthusiastic, appropriately skilled and experienced teacher of percussion who is dedicated to providing high-quality musical experiences for children, young people and adults of all ability levels in schools and Music Centres.

The post will require the candidate to teach children in individual, small group and whole-class settings. Therefore, candidates should have significant experience of planning and delivering high-quality and engaging music education projects to whole classes of children at key stage 2 that meet the requirements of the music National Curriculum and lead to performance opportunities.

As with any teaching job, there is a requirement to complete paperwork, write reports, attend parents' evenings and be basically computer literate. Starting salary will be based upon qualifications, skills and experience.
