We are looking for a piano teacher with excellent teaching, playing and communication skills, good organisational skills, enthusiasm for working with children and knowledge of Kodály solfa. Knowledge of Colourkeys is an advantage. This school is highly collaborative, and an ability to work well with colleagues is also a distinct advantage. For more information about us see our website.
Piano instrumental tuition includes musicianship, choir, and piano duets/workshops. The prospective teacher will be expected to take part in all of these, as well as accompany the string players and flautists. It is hoped that the candidate will also be able to take certain administrative duties, e.g. organizing the piano workshops.
A CRB certificate will be required prior to taking the post.

Essential
Music teaching experience
Passion for music education
Willingness to commit to further training if necessary and/or when the opportunity arises;
Good understanding of children
Knowledge of Kodály solfa and good musicianship skills

HE Diploma and/or teaching diploma
Good performer
Expertise in Kodály solfa and its application to piano teaching;
Willingness and ability to coach ensembles

£25 or £28 per hour, depending on experience
