is looking to fill this vacancy 07/05/08
We are the leading supplier of programmes to theatres and concert-halls throughout the UK are looking to appoint a full-time
PROOFREADER/ARCHIVIST
You'll be able to spot a rogue comma at fifty yards and go apoplectic at the thought of missing or, perhaps worse, unnecessary apostrophes. Anything you're not sure about you'll want to check and check until you are sure! Your relentless eye for detail will be further tested by giving jobs a final check before they hit the print floor.
You'll also be responsible for maintaining the Company's extensive archives, so if somebody wants to see a copy of the programme that went with Birmingham Rep's 2001 production of Travels With My Aunt or maybe just a panto programme with an excitingly glitzy cover, it's you they'll ask first.
Because of the nature of our work, an interest in and knowledge of theatre and classical music would be a distinct advantage. So, if you know what's wrong with the following list (without looking them up!) you've got a good head start:
Hayfever by Noel Coward; Rice & Lloyd-Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream; Oklahoma by Rogers and Hammerstein
