This vacancy was posted on 06/11/09 The world-renowned British drum and percussion brand since 1922, are looking to strengthen their orchestral team with an Orchestral Specialist and Sales Account Manager, with the key objective of improving their existing product range and developing new products to meet the needs of musicians globally. The position will be based in modern offices in Kibworth Harcourt, South Leicestershire.
The successful candidate is likely to be a percussionist with the ability to play timpani and mallet instruments (level unspecified). A thorough understanding of the European orchestral/conservatoire scene would be advantageous as would some sales experience.
The role will involve extensive UK and international travel, including visiting retailers, attendance at weekend/weekday events and shows. You will be working closely with musicians, orchestras and bands in order to develop the orchestral business, as well as selling to distributors and retailers in the relevant markets.
The successful candidate will also be involved in identifying new business opportunities and new product directions to actively grow this segment of the business. They will work closely with our team of supported players and consultants.
Applicants need to be articulate, literate and numerate with good commercial acumen, as well as having musical ability. A European language, particularly German or French, would be advantageous.
