We have a number of positions open for experienced, inspirational Youth Support Workers to help deliver an exciting Key Stage 4 project from November 2008.
The programme works with 14-15 year olds at risk of becoming NEET, and aims to re-engage them in the learning process as well as helping them to gain accreditation.
Outline of Duties:
- Working to the Radio Tutor, you will be responsible for providing support to students and the tutor to assist delivery of NCFE accredited Radio Production courses, both in the classroom and the radio studio.
- Having had extensive experience of working with youth ‘hard to engage’ youth, preferably backed up by a related qualification, you will ideally have a good knowledge of radio and media skills.
This pilot project will run over 12 weeks, and dependent on success the project will expand over the coming year, and there are great opportunities for advancement. Competitive rates of pay offered according to experience.
We are looking for candidates who can commit to 8+ hours per week and who are available to start during November.
