Ideal person will be required to ensure that the lighting is operated in accordance with the music and to set the atmosphere/ambience within the Nightclub setting. Previous experience is not essential however must be studying a relevant course in audio, visual or lighting. Duties will also include cleaning and general maintenance of the lighting. This would be an ideal position for a student studying sound or lighting with previous experience. A driving licence is an advantage. Postdoctoral Researcher
You will be working on a project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of their ‘Beyond Text’ strategic programme. Focussing on UK museums the project will review the ways in which popular music materials are collected, displayed and preserved for the future. Working with different museums you will investigate and compare how institutions value and interpret popular music heritage. The project will involve qualitative interviews, analysis and the dissemination of research findings to academic and non-academic audiences.
