| About | Four nations, made ten people, who made five children, who created 8Fold. Hailing from Wales, England, France and East Africa, now permanent residents of the UK, 8Fold have been stunning audiences from London to Dundee and the country all over with their inimitable brand of GYP HOP and are now poised to continue their mission with the release of their self produced, home made studio album 'POETS COTTAGE'. Fusing together styles such as Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and Drum and Bass, the end product sounds like the Streets fixing their BMX while Pendulum has a joke with Tower of Power over how much gaffer tape it would take to completely cover a swan. With a serious about music, silly about life attitude (currently in the process of filming their own comedy series TAB UnCLEAR), the five from the Fold have played extensively throughout Great Britain and Europe, picking up gig goers by the bottom of their pants and feeding them with grooves so thick you could park a canal boat in them and lyrics about life, television, partying with hobos, third world debt and tea. 8Fold love playing and writing music and this is reflected in their attitude. The vibe in the band is tight and fun and this is abundantly apparent in their energetic, engaging and exciting performances....... This is one act you have to see live. | |
