I am desperately trying to get into the music industry somehow, the only problem is - i have hardly any or no qualifications. I am a Graphic Designer in a good company on a good wage, and willing to give it all up for my favourite thing. Any of you big-wigs out there have something for me to do? Or a small-wig that knows a medium-wig that knows a bigger-wig that might need a nobody to do something?
Dunno, maybe clean, maybe learn, maybe design a cover for your band?
Will work my ass off...

I just want to wish you luck for getting into the industry. I'm also desperate to get into music. I haven't done a music degree, but I have got one in TV and Radio, and I involved music in my projects. I have been writing off to everyone around the North West, and had absolutely no luck. I would love to move to London but I have very little money to do that. I wish there were more opportunites around Manchester, as I would do work experience or anything. It is all about who you know not what you know. So people like us who don't know the execs etc miss out, and they are missing out on people with a huge passion for music who want to contribute something to the industry.
Anyway hope you're having better luck than me.

actually fella, you could do a runner job, there are many advertised. Try a agency that deals with the film and music and look in music week mag and website.
The reality is that music companies are just like any other business

Hope all is going well with your record label.
I am looking to work in music, eager to work in it actually. In all honesty my experience is very low...but the only thing I can say is I have a high work ethic & a 'sky's the limit' love for music.
If you still need people to do any or every job in your company then let me know...I'd be happy to offer whatever I can even if it's just grafting !!!

Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. Things have been pretty hectic, been doing a lot of promotional work for venues and bands.
