i have recently just completed a music industry course down at london and i am wanting to get into a and r.any ideas how to get into that line of work with record companies besides going and scouting for bands myself.i mean to actually secure employment.

Well, boards like this one are a start.
Checking websites of record companies large and small, and writing to their HR departments. Many of them post vacancies on their websites. Also look for other industry websites - mandy.com for example.
Obviously to start with you'll be looking for a junior role, but once you're "in" with a company it will be a lot easier to move within it.
I'm surprised your course didn't give you more guidance here - I'd have thought they could devote a whole module to actually getting a job in the industry, it's possibly the most important thing they could help with! Mind you, neither did my course...
