Boys & gals, as "they" say (whoever "they" are), if you don't ask you don't get...Well, in my chaotic situation I haven't got much choice, I must chin up & deal with it. After 5 years of commitment, dedication & hard work, I am loosing job & home at the same time. I was the music booker for a venue, which was providing me a room to live, and for business reasons, I have got to move out in 2 weeks and of course there will be no compensations, as I was "officially inexistent"; nothing at all!!!! After sacrifying so much (I was an air hostess but resigned to have more time working in what I love, which includes managing a band & radio, but of course for no income), it is quite hardcore to come back to the start with aboslutely nothing but debts.
So my point is that if you hear of anything such as basic office/admin/runner work radio/tv/music/events related, please let me know. I would rather avoid free lance stuffs. I am doing bits & bops of stage management as well as barshifts, but I really need something regular, I would be so grateful with some boring 9 to 5 & I don't mind starting from the bottom again as long as I get a regular income. On the top of that, I need a place to stay from 1st to 11th December, then maybe 27th Dec to 2nd Jan (then i will think about it later), but of course I am very poor so it has to be a very generous & cheap deal. I have got tons of friends who offered me a sofa but they are all quite far from Central London and at the moment I am working at night...Please spread the word, any suggestions/help will be appreciated. In such a awful society in recession, only us -the people- can support each other.
Thanks for your time...
Veronica

I'd suggest an appointment with a career advisor - it helped me quite a bit. Although if you're not a student it will cost a little, but on the other hand it might be worth it. Looks to me that you have quite a lot of experience, and you probably have lots of transferable skills, so it is not hopeless at all!
