The Times Online has just posted an article on Robbie Williams' recent new. The troubled star is set to make a comeback this November. As their post states...

"...Robbie Williams is to end his self-imposed exile from the music industry by releasing a comeback album this autumn.

The onetime Take That singer and solo chart-topper will unveil the first single, Bodies, on October 12 before releasing Reality Killed the Video Star on November 9.

Writing on his blog, Williams, 35, promised that his first album in three years will be “a killer” and would surprise fans as it contained the “old Robbie, new Robbie and a Robbie that neither of us have met”...."

Drat. After the last record he released, I was hoping that he was gone for good.

It's not really a comeback if you ask me - three years between albums is kind of standard for an artist of his stature. Typical of Robbie to milk it and generate a buzz with a sob strory and make out that he was away 'suffering and struggling to find happiness' blah blah blah. Which ironically is what I felt after hearing his last record.

It's pretty clear that Guy Chambers got him to where he is. Without him, his music is attrocious. Rudebox anyone?

I'm sure he'll do well and he'll shift a load of albums in the Christmas period regardless of how good or bad the album is. He will sell albums by the bucketload and a load of tickets for his tour because he is Robbie. I for one can't really see it being much cop.

It's not often I respond to posts however I disagreed with basically everything you said! Apart from you are right Rudebox was on the whole not a good album.

Although Robbie recognised that it was not good and that's why he decided to take a break from the industry which is fair enough.

I personally think this new record will be great from the snippets I have heard. He has been co-writing with some great songwriters and has even had some help in the lyric department, I fail to see how it will be anything but worthy of a top ten position.

I for one am glad he's back

Why does Robbie take himself so seriously?
He has no real talent to speak of, unless self pity can be considered a talent. What's up Robbie is being more successful than you deserve, such a hardship?
