About Me

I work well as part of a team and I am reliable in meeting deadlines. I have a wide vocabulary and a good writing style that I have developed through writing academic reports and less formal documents. I consider myself to be a sociable person who is approachable and friendly, I make an effort to fit in. I am punctual and conscientious about my appearance. I tend to be a fast learner and one of my main strengths is that I work well under pressure. I have good communication skills and consider myself to be a committed and hard working employee. My hobbies include music and sports. I also write poetry as a hobby although I have had one poem published. I keep fit by playing football and basketball regularly with
friends. In the past I have played the violin and keyboards in orchestras and bands. I also take music very
seriously in terms of my career, I specialize in studio recording and music production including mixing an mastering.

I have entrepreneurial aspirations and I have pursued this by obtaining funding through a university program which encourages students to explore and evaluate their own ideas and produce a business plan. I am a keen promoter of live music so I invested in live sound equipment, secured sponsorship and successfully organized and promoted a series of monthly events showcasing well known acts alongside local unsigned acts.

Other Skills / Additional Information

I am an accomplished violinist and pianist at grade 7 and 5 levels respectively. I am confident using PC’s or
Mac’s and I have developed computer skills throughout my education. I have attended short courses on web
design at BCU’s NTI using Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver. I have received professional training in presen-
tation skills, project management, negotiation skills, team working and business start ups, because I successfully applied for two enterprise based university programmes. I am also very comfortable using word
processing software, presentation software, spreadsheet software and database software. By working at a number of different studios both commercially and while studying at university, I have gained extensive
knowledge of music production techniques using both analogue and digital equipment although I specialize in Logic and Pro Tools based systems. I am a trained sound engineer with my own equipment and I have
experience of both live sound and studio engineering. I have worked with a range of artists producing music in different genres, I am equally comfortable recording a string quartet in a concert hall as I am working with a band or solo artist in the studio. I have developed good interpersonal skills through working with
different musicians every week over my time at Rich Bitch studios. I am also very conscientious about the approach I take to getting the best performance possible from any musician in the studio. I have good management and organizational skills gained from organizing and promoting live music events and balancing my social, educational and work commitments. I have the facilities and the skills to produce professional quality music, upon request I can provide a portfolio of recordings that I have produced.
