About Me
PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR A SAMPLE CD OF MY WORK AND TO CHECK MY AVAILABILITY.
Since Graduating from Uni I have worked mainly as a performer, playing drums and percussion. I am currently playing with Davinche (producer for Kano and Estelle amongst others) and also teaching music and leading percussion workshops for primary school children, disabled children and foreign language students as a language exercise. I have a grade 8, am a competent sight reader and can comfortably play any contemporary drumming style either live or in a studio. I have two good drum kits, a djembe and many other percussive insttruments. I also play the Bass to a high standard which means I can write complete back-lines to tracks with both instruments complementing each other completely. I studied at the University of Westminster gaining a 2.1 degree in Commercial Music B.A. (Hons.). I have since played with a number of bands and theatre groups both drumming and acting, live and recorded at venues including Glastonbury, BBC Maida Vale Studios and Prisons across the West Midlands! As well as the London circuit - 12 bar club, Bull and Gate etc. I also studied business strategy under Keith Harris (Chairman of Music Tank UK) and am setting up my own production studio's and music consultancy. I have A-levels in Performing Arts and Drama and enjoy the challenge and diversity of playing with all kinds of acts on stage, in studios and in theatres.
Credits And Employment History
I am currently working for R'n'B producer Davinche (produced for Kano, Estelle, Tynchy Stryder) who needed his solo album taken live. I have provided drums for the tracks and helped compile the show, finding musical solutions for technically produced album. Before this I was employed by the theatre company Rideout - creative arts for reabilitation - as a musician and performer and toured prisons in the west midlands. This is probably the single most interesting and rewarding job I have done to date. Other work has included playing a residency for ska act Number One Staion at Glastonbury Festival. I have played on a total of 16 albums and with about 7 bands. I also did a four month internship at ministry of sound records and went on to work as a media analyst in the Mayor of Londons press office in City Hall. I also work occasionally teaching music and drama to Italian and Spanish children as an English learning exercise.

Other Skills / Additional Information
Other important qualities are my personal skills as you have to be very amicable, tolerant and above all patient in the world of live music as in the studio. I am a great organiser and motivator of people and have made many succesful projects out of it. My particular skill is arrangement of other peoples music for a live setting. Being a drummer I can map out the song and it's rhythmical impact from start to finish with the most musical effect in a way that other musicians sometimes overlook. Playing the bass has given me another aspect of my rhythmical diversity and helps me write structured back-lines to all kinds of music.
