About Me
At 16 I started putting gigs on. For the last 5 years I have continually developed my organisational skills, time management skills, marketing skills, IT skills, financial planning skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to work on my own initiative and my creativity while my passion for this has continued to grow and grow.
I'm now 21 and part of Stay Sick! We run 2 monthly nights in different venues in Brighton. Both nights are the venues most successful monthly events. We also put gigs on from time to time at different venues which have also always been sold out.
I went to BIMM for 2 years but don't hate me for it.
I'm currently taking part on a work placement at The Engine Room.
Credits And Employment History
Stay Sick! - I started a DJ collective/promotions company with 2 others in April. we currently run 2 sold out monthly nights with additional occasional nights also being highly successful.
Halloween Club - I started this night on my own in February 2007. It was the first club night I had put on since moving to Brighton. The first 2 were on a Wednesday at The Volks before moving to The Engine Room. At Volks the nights were really successful and after moving the next 2 were really poor. After the first 2 at The Engine Room it began to pick up a lot and we quickly came close to reaching capacity. Halloween Club finished on Halloween that year.
The Engine Room - A few months after Halloween Club finished the venue made contact with me. They wanted to pay me to run Halloween Club for them. In addition to this they also wanted me to run a night they had that was failing, The Molotov Cocktail Lounge.
Reckless Music - This was my first promotions company. I started it in the summer after leaving high school. I had a lot of friends in bands at school and that was the only place they could get gigs. I pretty much started putting on gigs purely to put my friends bands on. All of the nights went well and I quickly started booking bands from all over the city to play. The success of these events led to me being chosen as a Club NME DJ when it started in Stoke in 2005.
