About Me

My name is Chris Ransome. I'm a 21 year old music enthusiast and have worked in a few areas within the music industry. I have worked as a promoter, session player (guitar mainly) both live and recording work. I have co managed my band for a number of years now and I also teach guitar part time. I'm looking to further myself intellectually and practically within the music industry as a songwriter, performer and a businessman.

Songwriter and session player for up and coming artistes.
1/2007 - Present Dirty Beats Entertainment, London, SE
This job has involved the organization of meetings between artist management, artists and session players in order to reach the end goal. I.e. get the artist in question off the ground. This job has let me perform in a variety of well respected venues, as well as take part in many a recording and songwriting session. This has helped me get a better overall feel about the business of the music industry, and has provided many a challenge which we have all had to overcome. Long drives to various festivals and gig venues, as well as the loading and unloading of all the equipment help keep everything in perspective. The hard work is all worth it though when plan finally comes together. As this job stands now, it is an ongoing job, with plans leading to a final album release date of an artist known as Kimberly Anne in 2009, with an EP already available on Itunes called "Play The Game" where I co wrote the track, "Borderline".
Writing for commercial gain as well as to further my own musicality is something I love to do.

Guitar Tutor 01/01/09-Present

I have been teaching guitar for almost a year now. I aim to keep the idea of guitar playing as fun as possible, with focus mainly on creativity rather than technicality as to make the student stand out from the generic "shredders" in todays guitar world.
