About Me
I have recently just finished a degree in music and media management at London Metropolitan University and achieved a 2:1. By finishing the course I acquired key skills and knowledge that would help me in the music industry. The following knowledge I gained from the degree was learning about ‘Artists and Repertoire’, ‘Marketing and Public Relations for Music and Media’, ‘Music Publishing’, ‘Intellectual Property and Copyright Industries’ and finally ‘Music Industry Management’. These modules helped me gained significant insight of the music industry. Some of the modules included working in teams to present a presentation. These tasks helped me develop my teamwork skills, having worked with various different age groups. The tasks also helped me develop my communication and oral skills in presenting my information to an audience. I would like to be considered for this placement because music is my life. I am an ambitious person and I’m willing to do anything just to get one foot in the door to the music industry. If it involves not being paid I am willing to do it or if the position involves serving tea I am also willing to do it. Just to be involved in a music industry environment would be a huge achievement for me because I am confident in my abilities to work my way up.

Other Skills / Additional Information
In my spare time I do volunteer studio work to help musicians develop their music skills, the tasks involve helping out the engineer, making studio bookings and also helping out in recording musical material. This is all valuable experience that I am gaining to improve my chances in the music industry. As well as working at the studio, I also make my own music. An achievement that I made was being involved in a music project that became a big song in the funky house underground scene. That enabled me to tour the country.
