Highly motivated and passionate professional singer and violinist with extensive performance experience combined with employment experience in music publishing. I am keen to further my already rewarding career as a performer and a singing teacher having already helped many students rapidly improve their vocal abilities with a strong emphasis on technique, performance and confidence.

•Dec 2008 – Workshop Leader TOTS Project with Sense of Sound

Workshop leader for unique project run by Greenwich Council and Sense of Sound delivering vocal training and preparation for a end of term show for nursery and reception kids who aren’t exposed to formal music training. Successfully planned and rehearsed project to expose kids to Indian music.

•2007 – Present – Seasonal Lecturer, Barnet College
Responsible for organisation and delivery of the singing and musical theatre modules for ND1 and ND2 levels.
Achieved the highest rate of pass marks for ND1 and ND2’s in the last 3 years after taking over a somewhat disorganised module.

•2007 – Present Singing Teacher, Uxbridge College
Vocal tutor to BTEC National Diploma Level 3 students of varying musical abilities. Improved confidence among students by developing performance and technical techniques particularly with students who had little or no previous singing experience.
Developed new exciting teaching methods using my own techniques to drastically increase motivation among students.

•2006 – Present Vocal Tutor (Private & Theme Music Ltd).
I am currently registered with some of the most prestigious vocal tuition services in the UK offering excellent private, tailor made vocal tuition to over 20 students of varying age and ability.
My students include a Live and Unsigned 2008 finalist and MOBO Unsigned Award winners.

•Various dates Singing & Violin Tutor - RedCoat Youth Project
Organised and delivered full programme of singing and violin basics working with local councils to encourage young adults off the streets and to take up an instrument.
Developed performance repertoire, improvisations techniques and technical skills by working towards a performance to staff and parents at the end of each week.

• Male vocalist for theme song for film called ‘Bollywood Hero’ a cover of Michael Penn No Myth
• Vocalist for Jai Ho by Slumdogz (Remixed Version) – Theme from ‘SlumDog Millionaire’ released on Ministry of Sound
• WUTHERING HEIGHTS (The Musical) – Playback singer for the lead characters part (Krishan) in this Bollywood influenced lavish production based on the Emily Bronte novel. The performance is touring the country from Spring 2009 – Summer 2009.
• WOODLAND WIND – My own album a delicate fusion of Indian Classical and Chillout vibes.
• SUSHEELA RAMAN – violinist and backing vocalist on live performances across Europe.
• BOMBAY DUB ORCHESTRA (lead vocalist) – performance credits include BBC Electric Proms 2006, The Big Chill 2007, Stuttgart Film Festival 2007. Recording credits include two tracks on new album 3 Cities.
• SPMN (Now Sound & Music) – Indian music mentor for the ‘Ragamela’ project featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra – the idea is to create Raag based music to be played by an orchestra. The project also has an education strand to commence in April 2009 with a performance of my composition by students at the Royal Festival Hall on 6th May 2009.
• SRISHTI - performance on tour with 2006 Plaice Prize Winner’s, featuring winning piece ‘Quick’. Other tours with this company include ‘My Stamping Ground’ (Spring 2009) and Bend It (Spring 2008)
• VIVALDI THE MOVIE – I have been responsible for training ‘Stephen Cree’ the starring actor in this biopic to play the violin for the lead role of Vivaldi.
• NITIN SAWHNEY – Vocalist on ‘Rainfall’ The Rishi Rich Remix
• SHIVANOVA (lead vocalist and violinist) - UK with live performances and conducting Indian music workshops in secondary schools and music colleges (Winter 2007).
• MENTOR COLLECTIVE (Lead Vocalist) – performances include live broadcasts from BBC Maida Vale studios and the legendary Abbey Road studios.
• FULL PHAT FUNK (Lead Vocalist) –corporate and private function band, performances include Credit Suisse Xmas parties.
• SENSE OF SOUND – Singing workshop leader for award winning company working with Greenwich council and ‘Singup’ a government initiative to encourage singing in schools across the country. Projects #i have worked on include TOTS, KESC, Sing up Greenwich
