I taught piano for ten years from 1992 -2002 while I was studying at the University of Otago, New Zealand. I taught both children and adult, some learned for fun, others I prepared for ABRSM grade work. Upon graduating in 2002 with a B.Mus (performance classical piano), a law degree and a Master of International Studies, I decided to pursuit a career in commercial law. I came to the UK in 2006 to continue working as a commercial lawyer but when I was made redundant in Jan 2009 I made a decision to return to teaching piano. I am currently teaching a number of students out of my home in Tooting (SW17 9HD). I have a good understanding on the requirements of ABRSM and Guildhall examinations and consider myself to be a confident, creative and enthusiastic piano teacher. I also have a good knowledge of the solo piano repertoire, piano pedagogy and performance practice.
